I recieved a phone call a little while ago to set up an interview for a middle school science position. I was not sure what to say, since I already verabally accepted the 2nd grade position at the charter school and fully intend on taking it. However, in light of the events that took place earlier with my former boss combined with not recieving the new hire paperwork yet from my new P, I decided to go ahead with the interview in case something happens and I don't get the job. I am hoping I will get the new hire paperwork BEFORE the interview so I can call the school I schedule the interview with and tell them I just received an offer an am thus canceling the interview. The interview is at 11am tomorrow morning. I tried to get something next week to give my new hire paperwork more time to get here, but the P is going to be out of town.
Was this a smart choice? What do you think? I figure this way if my former boss is somehow right and my offer from yesterday falls through, I still potentially have something to fall back on.
Re: MS Science Interview
I agree that you are doing the right thing by taking the interview. Good luck!
